California judges boast the fastest deaths on record. Within three weeks, after one judge directed his bias towards a mother, her son, Trevor Nolan, was dead. What wasn't reported because it was beyond the three day coverage, was just as bad.

Rather than admit error, the judge in the case decided on his own, without evidence or allegation, that the mother must have been neglecting her healthy son. Mrs. Nolan's surviving son was promptly ordered into the care, custody and control State of California, where he remained for the next Thirty months.

Absent from all reporting of the Nolan case, was any newspaper who identified the judge by name.

As for the bureaucracy charged with judicial accountability? The CJP - in the year 2006, the CJP received nearly a thousand complaints. From that number 25 received "don't do that" letters. A couple judges were removed.

That's it.

Media is not generally covering that Children are important only as a source to market legal services. Their needs are not met, as the results of this Study indicates.

From 2007 in the past two years, at least six other Charlotte-area parents have been accused of killing their children:
Esther Flores: The 21-year-old is in the Mecklenburg County jail, accused of stabbing her newborn daughter to death. The baby, who police believe was born and died May 21, was named Esmerelda Garcia Flores.
Mark Minor: Shot his two young sons and killed himself June 14 in their Union County home, authorities say. His 10-year-old son, Ryan, died from his injuries; 8-year-old Ross lost his sight but is recovering.
Gilberto Miranda Cuellar: In the Mecklenburg County jail awaiting trial. He is accused of fatally shooting his two children March 3, 2006, and setting the family's house on fire.
David Crespi: Serving life in prison without parole. He fatally stabbed his 5-year-old twin daughters, Tessara and Samantha, on Jan. 20, 2006, in the family's southeast Mecklenburg home.
Lisa Greene: On trial in Cabarrus County. She is accused of setting her home on fire Jan. 10, 2006, killing her 8-year-old daughter, Addison, and 10-year-old son, Daniel.

SOUTH DAKOTA

VIRGINIA
Former Bush Aide Law Professor Kills Autistic Son, Self After Domestic Dispute.

WEST VIRGINIA
September 2, 2006; Douglas W. Pennington, 49, shot sons Logan, 26, and Benjamin, 24, multiple times then shot himself once in the chest with a .38 caliber revolver on the Shepherd University campus, state police said. Both sons were identified as Shepherd students.
Police said the elder Pennington traveled to the campus to visit his sons, but authorities offered no reason for the shootings.

California Attorney General Lockyer evidenced voters should not look to him for relief after likening judicial abuse, including constitutional rights, to "policy disputes." His February 24th remarks, featured below, demonstrated a basic grasp of the situation.

At a meeting with the Independent Journal editorial board, Attorney General Bill Lockyer said that even if (Family Law) complaints are justified, recalls should be used to remove officials who have committed misdeeds - not to settle policy disputes.

"Family law seems to be a legitimate beef," Lockyer said. "Should you recall a DA because of that? Absolutely not."

Lockyer said he has heard complaints over the years that justice has not been done in family law courts in Marin.

"They were substantive and serious, and it seemed to me they needed to be addressed," Lockyer said.

We disagree. Losing one's job for non-performance, should be as equally available remedy in the public sector, as the private sector, and pressure should be brought on the Commission of Judicial Performance, the agency responsible for overseeing judicial behavior.

However, the point is missed. The reason for the recall was not, 'policy disputes' but the DA's callous disregard for the rights of all.

Why aren't Legislators introducing bills designed for judicial and state employee accountability?

So the killings continue. Simply put, our actions (or inactions) demonstrate we do not value our children. Ultimately, until we act to protect children they will continue to be killed or injured, either by abusive family members, or die from acute judicial indifference.

When it comes to judges ignoring warnings from parents claiming their kids in danger at the hands of the other parent, San Diego remains a bad kind of Mecca.

When Eric Eubanks warned a San Diego County judge his wife Susan had threatened to kill their four children; the judge, in a classic display of shooting the messenger, immediately sentenced Eric to Supervised Visitation. The reason? The judge was worried Eric was attempting to alienate the children from their mother.

After Susan Eubanks shot her four sons, ages 14, 7, 6 and 4, to death, (ignoring her nephew who was present at the time), the judge promptly sealed the file to protect herself from bad press. Eubanks received the death penalty. The judge? The media did not identify her.

Governmental ignorance Family Court operates as a business was best demonstrated with Amber Alerts. When first introduced one California senator appeared on national TV arguing (with attendant grave expression), parents should be excluded from Amber Alerts because they might clog up the process.

The general public remains unaware Lobbyists hired by the Association of Marriage and Family Therapists persuaded legislators to introduce a bill mandating six hours of mandatory "educational" counseling in the event of a divorce involving children, or the divorce would not proceed. It later died in committee.

Is there an answer? Yes. Media investigating the unregulated, divorce industry (few remember the Washington Sniper began his rampage after losing his parental rights), including why Family Court judges refuse to route obvious claims of perjury, such as Darren Mack's filing for bankruptcy to escape child and spousal support, to Criminal Court for prosecution. Otherwise, expect the carnage-like murders detailed below to continue without substantial media interest.

In the interim, an ongoing series to inform the public of the state of family law courts, is long overdue.
