SECTION SUMMARY
With public toleration of an old west style justice, sheriffs, and the agency reviewing State Bar attorney conduct, redefines Lax.

No "Tent City" for Gary Karpin.
But Karpin, who bailed out, is facing a September 15, 2006 Status Conference;
before Judge Richard Trujillo Case No: CR 2005 010928

How can bar officials justify no action since 1993 in the case of Gary Karpin, while knowing he was ripping people off?

Why did the same attorney continue asking for help from the state, having been blown off repeatedly for nearly a decade, and why was she treated as a hero when it finally dawned on her to call the local DA?

We are conducting a survey of legal billings. If you are willing to mail us copies of your legal bills, (redacting any personal information), please advise; and thank you.

If that's not bad enough, enter greedy lawyers, the worst of them; women. Things are so bad, reporting wise; we've just decided to name names.

Ellen Seaborn, The Flagstaff money eating machine.

Phoenix

Preliminary investigations warrant the posting of a few "professionals" we'd avoid.

Attorneys

Those who are more concerned with the Rights of clients who act destructively towards their children, include Tom Novack.

Evaluators

We'd avoid Margaret Marshall, the reason being complaints against her for accepting diluted drug tests, have been dismissed.

Arizona rates at the top of the list of violence towards children. Arizona rates at the bottom of successfully dealing with it.

We don't know why, but as a wise man once said; "Whenever you don't know the answer to something, the answer usually involves money."

In the area of it's about time, Disbarred attorney Gary Karpin was finally sentenced to 15 years in prison. Unfortunately, it took the lone woman at the State Bar in charge of the unauthorized practice of law ten years of going to the AG for prosecution, before she figured out the local DA was a better fit. So her failure to think it through for ten years, resulted in many more victims.

Karpin Finally Is Convicted!

The public isn't aware that when it comes to family court, not only is the Constitution is checked at the door

But people would be better served if they first checked to make sure their attorney, actually has a license to practice law.

In this regard we hope some smart lawyer sues the Arizona State Bar because the ineptness of the bar official who took roughly a decade before realizing the Attorney General wasn't going help; and called the local DA.

We do not understand why the lone State Bar attorney who Finally took the correct action was portrayed as heroic. Folks, it took her ten years before she called the correct prosecuting office.

Karpin's just one case. Arizona Bar officials know of attorneys who routinely practice law while disbarred or suspended. However why they don't route information to the DA for prosecution has yet to be answered.

Status Conference for Gary Karpin

Background: Karpin's bail was reduced from $250,000.00 to $75,000.00 so he could get out. Status conference set for September 16, 2006, resulted in...not much. Fast forward a year later. on September 11, 2007..the status seems to be the same; D-E-L-A-Y.

More Family Court Secrets.
Fake attorneys: Courtesy of The State Bar

With Gary Karpin, it all began on October 6, 2005...

We spoke to the Detective answering hotline calls. As one might suspect by the range of Karpin's victims and the State Bar's inability to act, the detective's was a busy man. It also appeared to us that he very much enjoyed ending Karpin's career. On that date calls to the hotline approached the two hundred mark.

Our fervent hope some smart lawyer sues the State Bar and the Attorney General, for not acting in the best interest of the public, sooner. At the very least a separate restitution fund should be set up by officials as a mea culpa for knowing about Karpin, and rendering no public service to taxpayers.

In the Karpin case the Republic had a brief mention of Michael Urbano, as Karpin's first attorney; and, because the story is largely about Karpin's business, nothing further.

Urbano remains on the case. The emails we've read written by Urbano to someone questioning his professionalism are profane, unprofessional, more than slightly misogynistic. Sample below. Urbano is not particularly bright.

Part of a typical, less-profane one, (within three mailings he used the "C" word to describe a woman):

"Keep your lame-ass suggestions to yourself because no one gives a fuck about your stupid uneducated opinions. When you earn a Juris Doctorate, pass the bar, and become admitted, then perhaps your voice will be recognized. Until then, blow it out your ass bitch. And by the way, I sincerely hope this correspondence "will be making the rounds." I don't give a fuck what you or your associates think of me. Bring it on bitch.
With regard to the DA, her and I are good friends and go back a ways, so you are barking up the wrong tree. As far as having daughters, climb off your high horse and shove it up your ass sideways.
Do not write me again or I will report you to the State Bar."

- (We understand Urbano began "cooperating" with the the District Attorney. We don't envy them.) Urbano, and those like him, are frequently used by smarter types, like Karpin, to actively continue their practice. Although Karpin is out on bail, we were unable to determine if a condition of bail is a restriction from using computers in any form.

We remain convinced if traditional media devoted a beat reporter to family court, coverage would evoke or provoke change.

Karpin's background;

Arizona Stats from DOJ spending over a Billion dollars for Intimate Partner kills.

The response?

Click here for other fakes who prowl the halls of family court in search of prey.

As this ties in to a lack of police protection; if you're raped in Arizona, don't hold your breath getting the case solved, according to Arizona Republic article, of November 3, 2002, which reported; "Phoenix ranks dead last among the nation's big cities when it comes to solving rape cases, yet hasn't added a single sex-crimes investigator in the past 14 years."

Because No "beat reporter" is assigned to Family court, the domestic violence industry continues operating at warp speed, turning family court into a police state.

No coverage means most people are unaware family courts have morphed into essentially criminal like sentences. Parents can and do receive a single "bad" evaluation and without being charged with a crime; suddenly find themselves ordered not to have Any contact with their children. This puts them in the litigation track for years.

The result being a full employment act for attorneys, therapists, evaluators and paid, supervised visitation monitors. Meanwhile, the child becomes alienated.

But don't the police care?

You decide.

Robert Fisher update. August 16, 2006

Based on information learned on that date we're not surprised Scottsdale Police haven't caught arson and triple murder suspect Robert Fisher.

Attempts to tip officials of Fisher's possible whereabouts at 5:30am yesterday morning, were met with,

"Can you call back in three hours?"

by Lisa over at Scottsdale Police Department.

When the tipster expressed shock, Lisa put the caller on hold for a minute or two before returning to say she would take a message. Before doing so however, Lisa told the tipster

"This is something my supervisor Patrick says is beyond my normal duties."

Who's on first?

We discovered Lisa delivered the message when about a week later a detective called.

For police department personnel to respond to tips about this shocking, unsolved 2001 crime, clearly indicates a police chief out-of-touch with his department. But it also reflects a department disinterested in protecting and serving the community.

_ _ _ _ _

As the situation currently exists, the police who advise women in fear to request restraining orders, aren't advising them the U.S. Supreme Court ruled they don't have to enforce them.

Also, the situation is so critical women don't realize requesting an order can trigger one last, fatal attack.

Likewise we believe if women killed by their "intimate partners" were profiled under numbers relating to SARS or bird-flu, "epidemic" would headline).

But domestic violence is profitable.

Yes, and extremely so. Few realize how killing women benefits police departments. Scroll to the bottom of the newest government agency, Family Justice Centers to discover how many have popped up like zits on a teenagers face.

Although "Family Justice Center" exploded nationally, no one explains how these centers routinely violate due process rights of the suspect, perhaps because they open doors for federal funding to cash strapped police departments.

Public Information officers with The Department of Justice, via the Office on Violence Against Women want the public to know they're addressing domestic violence.

Educated readers know better. Grants to benefit women for counseling, shelter, education, cell phones, etc, reveal most of the money goes by Formula to Border Patrol and Phoenix police to buy bullet-proof vests. Only a "discretionary" (read: token) amount goes to actually benefit well, women. click for Arizona.

AP recently published a study detailing how one non-profit spent forty-one million dollars studying four cities over an eight year period running "child abuse prevention" programs by non-profits, didn't work....(the same can be said for "anger management" and "domestic violence" programs

The economic reality for divorcing parents is this: they are but a fuel source. The state doesn't care. Karpin is Exhibit A to that. The lone, state bar attorney working the Karpin case did not until her retirement, think to go to the District Attorney. After dutifully writing the Attorney General over a decade (and through a couple of elections), she accepted their well documented lack of interest. It wasn't until she was nearing retirement did she think/decide to go to the District Attorney. In that regard, since Karpin enjoyed the profits of official inaction since 1993, there is plenty of blame to go around.

Earlier we discovered domestic problems within the ranks of Phoenix police. Unfortunately, only Family court addressed the issue, the police will not.

That reporter was provided exceptional documentation, but the reporter's producer rejected the story.

The clueless producer lipped the usual, "family court is a, "he said, she said," never realizing he was missing a heartbreaking story of greed and indifference; all state generated. Family court is not about what anyone says.

It's a profit center for those in the divorce and custody industry.

Coverage would cause economic loss for state personnel, Which explains why It's not likely traditional media will reveal DR court Economic realities.

Locally, New Times reporter, Paul Rubin bragged to this site operator he hadn't actually been in a DR court in, Thirty years. We repeatedly said family court is an Economic story, and Rubin repeatedly disagreed, stating any family court story must tell a, personal story; but they were all full of too much muck, (including his own), to deal with.

(Rubin didn't explain his willingness to dig through the muck most other civil and criminal cases inherently have; or the most obvious: if Rubin hasn't darkened a DR courtroom in thirty years, one wonders how he is able to claim to know what is going on.)

Worse, however; Rubin claims to lecture journalism students Not to write about DR court. Ergo, the bias against covering the very court where almost half the population will eventually enter; thanks in part to Rubin, is likely to continue though his lectures.

Amazingly, when we told Rubin he was discriminating against DR court litigants, he laughed. He disagrees.

Perhaps he believes it. However, it seems prudent to examine articles written by Rubin, including the one below, apparently written without actually ever darkening a courtroom, for what is missing.

It appears there's too much money to be made off the backs of children for things to change. It also appears, sadly, that "seasoned" journalists, are determined to remain, ignorant to this.

So its up to the parents, some who like fighting, to save the mental and emotional health of their children, as well as their bank accounts; and resolve issues themselves whenever possible.

And good luck
